The midnight cry

Matt 25: 6 “ And at midnight a cry was heard: Behold, the bridegroom is coming,  go out to meet him!”
Everyone has stayed up until midnight because you had company coming for a few days.  Your family had spent time to get everything ready for guest. The house had been cleaned and food had been prepared.  Now you sit in your living room waiting and waiting and waiting some more. You may even doze off but you are waiting.  It’s dark and you see car lights.  You wonder if it’s your company. Then after sometime, car lights turn into your drive way. You let the household know that they have arrived. They are here! They are here!  What  joy with hugging and kissing all around.
Well, everything I see and read, tells me we are at the midnight hour. The time to meet the bridegroom  Jesus will be soon.
Are we watching for Him? Do we have everything ready? What a great night that will be.
Paul said in I Thess 4: 12-13, “And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you, so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.’

1 Thessalonians 4:16-18 The Message (MSG)

“And then this: We can tell you with complete confidence—we have the Master’s word on it—that when the Master comes again to get us, those of us who are still alive will not get a jump on the dead and leave them behind. In actual fact, they’ll be ahead of us. The Master himself will give the command. Archangel thunder! God’s trumpet blast! He’ll come down from heaven and the dead in Christ will rise—they’ll go first. Then the rest of us who are still alive at the time will be caught up with them into the clouds to meet the Master. Oh, we’ll be walking on air! And then there will be one huge family reunion with the Master. So reassure one another with these words.”
