God is on His throne

Where do we find help in the time of trouble? The world is in trouble right now and the world leaders are doing everything to help, but they can only do so much. My message today is that God is on His throne. As you read this think about our God setting on His throne of power and majesty! Think about the fact that God on His throne is reaching out His hand of mercy through Jesus Christ to help, if we but call on Him. We may think what we are facing is out of control but God says “I got this!”

Isaiah 6:1-3 “In the year that King Uzziah died, I saw the Lord, high and exalted, seated on a throne; and the train of his robe filled the temple. ² Above him were seraphim, each with six wings: with two wings they covered their faces, with two they covered their feet, and with two they were flying. ³ And they were calling to one another: ‘Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty; the whole earth is full of his glory.”

Psalm 93:1-2 “The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength; indeed, the world is established, firm and secure. ² Your throne was established long ago; you are from all eternity.”

Mrs. Frederick Suffield wrote the song God is still on His throne. The chorus goes.

“God is still on the throne, and He will remember His own; Though trials may press us and burdens distress us, He never will leave us along; God is still on the throne, He never forsaketh His own; His promise is true, He will not forget you, God is still on His throne.”

Heb 4:16 “¹⁶ Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
